InfraDots in Slack

Get job notifications, request approvals, and react to plan/apply events from the channels your team already lives in.

Infrastructure changes have always lived in a different surface than the rest of engineering work. With the new Slack integration, they don't have to.

What's new

Connect your Slack workspace once, then choose which InfraDots events post to which channels. The bot handles:

  • Job status updates — plan, apply, drift detection, failures.
  • Approval requests — pending applies get a Slack message with the diff summary; reviewers approve or reject from the message.
  • Reminders — long-pending approvals can re-ping the channel on a configurable interval so nothing gets lost in scrollback.

Why it matters

The fastest review is the one that happens where reviewers already are. Most of the lag between "plan ready" and "apply approved" is context-switch lag — opening the InfraDots tab, finding the right workspace, reading the plan. Slack collapses that to one message.

How to set it up

In your organization's Integrations tab, install the InfraDots Slack app to your workspace. Then map workspaces to channels and pick which event types each channel should receive. You can override the channel per workspace if one team owns a noisy environment.
